Festival of Commoning

Join us for the third annual Festival of Commoning taking place across Stroud on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October 2026.

The Festival is for doers, organisers and people who want to common…own it together, make it affordable, keep it forever. It will be an opportunity to come together, share our stories, inspire one another and learn new skills.

This year’s theme is Common Ground: Healing Divides. We will celebrate stories from people and projects who use commoning practices to foster belonging, mutual care, resilience, and shared power in the face of growing societal division, polarisation, inequality, isolation and exclusion. 

This year we’re creating more spaces for people to connect with each other, learn new collaborative skills, and get out and about to see commoning projects already making an impact in and around Stroud. 

We’re a group of volunteers organising this year’s festival in Stroud, but it is also part of a global movement. We will be getting in touch in the next few months with specific ways for more people to get involved.
