Paintings inspired by walking through landscapes in the Cotswolds and Wales, from sketches and also direct 'pleine aire' oil painting. Sketches translated in the studio take on a more abstract aspect. This interpretation is valuably concerned with composition and colour balance. I would like to communicate a feeling of emotional connection with the landscape, perhaps producing in the viewer, as it does in me, a mystical or dreamlike view.
