“Stirrings” is an exhibition of various kinds of abstract works about colour: its movement, the forms it might generate, the richness of lighter and darker hues.
It should be a fun exhibition to see, made up of conventional framed pieces (in oil, acrylic, chalk pastel, oil pastel), colourful assemblages in card and balsa wood, painted glass through which light heightens the colour, and various hanging pieces, most of which turn or twill on themselves.
